What Audiophiles Say

ICYGENIUS

TSMR ARMOR are tribrid headphones that really make you feel the music. You can immediately sense that every frequency range has been carefully thought out. The low frequencies are very powerful, punchy, textured, with a depth that literally envelops your body and creates a feeling of physical presence in the track. The midrange is transparent, clean, without coloration, and the vocals are lively, natural, and very emotional. The high frequencies are detailed, technical, balanced, mature, without excessive brightness or darkness, while adding air and space, making the music voluminous and light. The soundstage here is particularly impressive: it is wide, deep, and multi-layered. If you are looking for a sound that is impressive, engaging, and comfortable for the ears, then TSMR ARMOR is just that. They know how to make music come alive, give a sense of presence, and bring real joy with every listen!

TSMR SHOCK Bass has a commanding, visceral presence that punches you hard. Deep, rumbly sub bass with just the right amount of decay to leave some breathing space between successive notes. Mid bass hits with authority, well textured and heavy. The difference in tone between bass instruments from the resonance of bass guitar strings to harmonics of kick drums is presented with natural timbre. It's thick and natural. Instruments are also layered quite well and unlike bass don't suffer with more technical tracks. Moderately wide and deep but lacks height. It sits just outside of ears with decent imagining. Nothing spectacular but a more intimate soundstage does make Shock more headbang worthy. Shock does quite well with extracting details and rendering them with enough air between them to let them breathe with life.

TSMR Armor utilizes similar bass tech as their more expensive brothers but what separates the Armor from them is that this one has a warm sound to it. Armor has a forwardness to its sound that is bold as the bass end is and this works better in my opinion to bring a more immersive musical angle to the Tansio Mirai formula. Some notable warmer bassy tunings are something like Sonys XBA- Z5, their former flagship bass hybrid iems. If you're in the market for a full blown bass IEM but one where musicality is the focus, the Armor is a set you have to take a good look at. It is because they are different in sound quality that I feel they fit into the hierarchy of Tansio Mirais recent dual dynamic series of IEMs. It is a more bold, full bodied, much more musical, better designed set overall for just a bit more and why wouldn't you want the best for your money.

The TSMR X truly blew my mind with its utterly addictive musicality and capable technical performance that don’t go clinical or overly bright and analytical.
The X focuses on music and injects it with a bassy and vibrant dynamism that favor tone fullness and naturalness over texture grain and noise artifacts we often call micro details.
The balance is fluid and full of lushness, yet the X main highlight it’s is incredible bass quality that is generous in quantity too. A bass tactility and density lover or even a basshead, you’ll find yourself mystify by the dual DD acting in tandem with it’s passive radiator to offer both a physical and musical delivery of blossoming low end.

TSMR SHOCK is a true Flagship. TSMR SHOCK is more about going against the grain. A sonic vagabond in a world of overpriced and overrated IEMs. While the SHOCK is unique, and once you lay eyes on it, it is not easily forgettable. A sound powerhouse in a world of too polite and too dainty a stature, yet the crazy part is the way it is tuned, you can listen to it for hours. The SHOCK does ask for volume both from your DAP and from your ears, it is simply containing a wider stage and a bigger presence once it's juiced-up. More contrasts, bigger imaging and clearer highs one you go full-throttle. While I'm not sure if the looks are for every set of ears, I'm positive the sound profile is, and if adjustments are needed, the knobs do the rest..

TSMR FEAT are a very solid offering, ideal for bassheads who want a darker sound with forward mids. If you like rumble, slam & punch down low then you've certainly come to the right place, but there's loads of vocal details to grab your attention as well - without betraying a faithful sense of neutrality.
Dislikes? The stock cable's a little bright & shouty and I prefer the FEATs with copper cables. They do sound intense at times, lacking that refined smoothness spending thousands on an IEM might buy you.
However if you enjoy an exciting, deeply reverberating experience you can do a lot worse for $239!
This entrée has whetted my appetite to taste more of the TSMR menu, and I suspect it's a brand we'll hear a lot more from in future.

The TSMR-5 is a musical sounding iem that is able to provide punchy bass, vivid midrange and detailed treble. The holographic soundstage provides a spacious feeling. There is an excellent showcase of control and energy. In addition, its versatility is showcased with 3 switches that can allow the user to experience a total of 7 sound signatures. The Tansio Mirai TSMR-5 is another outstanding iem from Tansio Mirai with its sublime sonic performance.

Tansio Mirai is serious and if you can’t tell the TSMR-X is in fact a statement piece.I am here to tell you it does more than that. It raises the bar for hybrids sold anywhere near this price range that others will have to reckon with. It's the type of IEM you take on a long trip overseas as you can’t take. One IEM for EDM, one IEM for classical, and another for speed metal. No, you can just take the TSMR-X as it will excel at all of it.

Land goes to show new uncharted places to visit. Greeted by vivid textures and an other-worldly soundstage, such technicalities make for an exciting phenomena. Big and often spacial reverb imaging goes the extra mile to guarantee you’ve never been to this town before. And while this IEM would be considered bright by most definitions of the word, it’s much more than that simple descriptor. Fine-tuning the LAND, just like the later released Sands, created a balance, a balance that brought a connection and involvement rarely discovered.
